asking for help from mac+pc users regarding ak.sys

Hi,
To the mac peeps- Can i just ask, I hear alot of people using ak.sys with there macs on OSX but does this program work well if you use OS9.2, if at all ?

To the PC crew, does everything work well with you guys, are you running win'98 or XP ? What the word on needing a usb hub for stability? Is this necessary?

since os 1.7 i had no crashes at all and i tranferred all my songs some while back, everything in one time (a few gigs). No USB errors.
I am on WinXP.


You can try if Aksys installs and runs on OS9.. Just go to Akaipro.com and download it for free

Thanks for your help Ikke. I dont own a mpc4000 yet and am just doing my last groundwork before buying. I have a mac on os9.2 and could download ak.sys but cannot test it, so I would like others experiences who actually run it on OS9.
If ak.sys does not work smoothly on my mac (on os9.2), I can build a PC and install WinXP to use with the mpc, yet Id prefere to be able to use my mac and not have more the financial out goings after the purchase.

I have used ak.sys in os 9. It works the same as osx
