mixer probs..

when i sample through mixer the sample is way to dirty...
i am wondering if it is because i dont know how to ground it properly??
i just have wire hanging off the ground out...lol
i didnt know what to hook to it to ground it properly...
what do i do to ground?
and is grounding that important-
and is it making
sound dirtier?

Grounding is very important. If not properly grounded u can get a 60hz humming sound in your system and it will drive u mad. Ground your stuff.

do i just hook wire to some dead metal?
is that all?
and does the metal have to be a specific kind or place to work correctly?
whats the best way?

touch it to different units (plugged in with 3 prong plug) and see what gives you the most quiet. I found that an oberheim dmx was the best in my set up. now I have a groundless TT, and no oberheim.

you got a receiver? like a home stereo jawn should have a ground spot on the back of it, if it has a phono input.

i couldnt touch it to others [no three prong plug]
and it has ground inout thing but what do i hook the wire from that too?

yo i just saw your studio pics. you have a couple of mixers there. either one will have a ground spot on the back of it. its a silver knob next to the inputs on that stanton you got. thats a stanton right? the grey mixer next to your turntable. hook it up there.
