Hi Bebop
It's a bit hard to give remote assistance because I don't know what you've already tried to solve your problem and I don't have a clue how things are connected in your setup. But I'll have a go...
Of course make sure your devices are connected correctly (use 75ohm coax cables for SPDIF) output > input and vice versa.
Make sure the digital out sync and type field in GLOBAL > CONFIG. are set to the correct settings. If you are using SPDIF use consumer for type.
The outsync depends on which device is the clock master and which devices is slave. If you have a wordclock generator connected to both devices use wordclock.
If the ADAT (8 assignable) out 1/2 field is set to L/R the digital output will output 1/2 instead of L/R if I remember correctly. So also set that field to 1/2 or route the part you want to listen to via the digital output to outputs 1/2.
To check your input connection go to RECORD mode and set the input field to DIGITAL IN. Send some steady audio signal like a looped beat.
Your input meters should indicate the input level even if monitoring is set to off.
I need more info on your setup and previous actions to give you better assistance...
Cheers!
