Hey guys im new to midi as far as the MPC goes.

I would like to hook up my eps16plus as just a keyboard controller to the mpc and my macintosh g4 computer using reason.

I just want to use the synth sounds in reason wnd use the sequencer and drmus patterns on the mpc.

Im not sure what i need to do. I can hook up the keyboard to the MPC or Reason separatly... but i cant make the MPC send midi to reason.. what do i need to change in reason? could find in the manual.

I have tride changing the instrument on the mpc to mid but not much help.

I have a USB Midi man 2x2 midi interface that has a wierd push button through switch that seems to need to be on to use the keyboard with it.

plese help thanks

Hey guys, I'm using Reason with my Mpc and couldn't be happier. this is how you set it up.

first: send your Midi Cable OUT (A) from your MPC to the IN (A) of your Midiman Usb 2x2 device and make sure that the little black button is pushed in, it wont work if it's left out.

second: send your Midi OUT from your Eps16plus keyboard
to the Midi IN 1 to your Mpc.

thrid: go to the Prefrences page in Reason and setup your Midi and Advanced Midi to recieve from your Midiman Usb device and set it to recieve on Midi (A)

fourth: test it out by setting up a sound device in Reason like a Subtractor or something, then go to the midi device in Reason and click on Midi Channel 1 and set the Subtractor to that Channel. Go to your MPC and put your midi channel on 1, you should be able to play on your Eps16plus keyboard and hear the sound from the Subtractor.

Just think of Reason as a module, you midi it up to the Mpc the same way. Midi OUT from the Mpc to the Midi IN on the sound module
You wont be able to scroll through the sounds in Reason from the Mpc, you'll still have to change the sounds in Reason using the mouse.

This seems like a long process but it's not. If you guys still have trouble after reading this let me know.
