Editing Wavs on Cool Edit Pro and using on MPC2000XL

Hi,
I picked up Cool Edit Pro recently and have been trying to edit my wav files on it instead of on the MPC since I figured it would be easier. I've been working with an easy drum sample, the It's New Day Skull Snaps break. I record from my turntable through my Rane TTM-56 to my MPC in Mono. Save the sound as a wav file and transfer via ZIP disk to my computer. I then chop up the drum break using Cool Edit Pro. When I transfer back to the MPC though, it sounds like crap, does not sound like the sound I edited via Cool Edit Pro at all, kinda all muffled and low. I know it isn't a volume issue because I recorded the sample at a high volume level. I didn't even add any effects or anything though CEP, just chopped up the sample. The chopped up sample sounds fine through my computer, but sounds totally different on the MPC. I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem or know how to fix it. THanks!

might want to get recycle 2.0 if cep don't work for your needs.

I use sound forge to do the same thing u just mentioned and it works finr. I have also used Cool Edit Pro 2.1 for the same thing and I have never had any problem with it. I save my sounds in 44.1khz 16 bit, that is what the MPC2kxl craves so that is what I give it. Check to see what exact fomat you are saving your samples to. Maybe the pad you are assigning the sample to has a previous filter seting from another beat or song you made. Go into Params and check the filter settings for that pad.
