Atmosphere,and Trilogy

Are these programs cpu hungry? Also if I want to run more than one sound from the program do I have to load it each time?

They are quite cpu hungry. It depends on the actual sound you are using. You will need open another instance of the instrument if you want to use a different sound and thats when it can be a load of the cpu. Also the sound library for each are about 3gb so you need memory space. But these 2 programs are soooo incredible, you wont b dissapointed. They are a real joy to work with.

compared to most vsti on the market today trilogy and atmosphere are "NOT" cpu hogs. actually, they are better than avg.

it would obviously depend on what cpu the pc was running as well. I have a 3.2 p4 and with 3 trilogys and 2 atmospheres its not even halfway so maybe i was a bit hasty in sayin it was a cpu hog but again, all te sounds are a different size in mb so it depends on the sounds used.

i have a hp 2.6 mhz with a gig of ram and i run

battery 2, stylus rmx, intakt, trilogy, sampletank, hypersonic, atmosphere, fm 7, b4, pro53, virtual guitar and lounge lizard at the same time in ableton live 4. yes the cpu is feeling the strain and it is time for a new computer but my current setup is capable.

ps. out of all the above vsti trilogy and atmosphere are the least cpu hungry.

Thanks guys. I plan on running them in Pro Tools on a mac,and I heard a few bad stories about them being cpu hungry. I guess whoever was using them was wrong,or they had a slow computer.

I have the regular stylus. I pretty much use it for the sounds not loops. Are there any extra sounds that would make the upgrade to the rmx worth it. Also How about the loops I am just getting off my arogant horse and realizing that there are some great fillers in the regular stylus. What is your take on the RMX.

stylusrmx is the sh*t. just go to the website and read up on it. too many feature to go thru right now. it is worth the $99 upgrade price.
