Hi all, i've been making beats for some time now and up until this point with my mpc i've just been recording directly into my computer via the stereo outs. I've just purchased the Lexicon Omega audio interface. It has 4 line inputs. I'm using the mpc 1000 which has the 4 outs plus the L/R stereo outs.

So now my question is if my sequence has let's just say 7 tracks and I want to keep everything separate. If I put my first 4 tracks on the 4 outs of the mpc and then put it in the 4 inputs of the lexicon. what is the best way to record the other tracks?

Sync them to whatever program you're using to record.Get those down. Then go back in and assign the other 3 tracks to 3 of the 4 outs and track those.THat should keep them seperate and easier to manipulate/mix.
