I was at a convention and the one dude told me he had seen it in one of the bins there... We looked like crazy, but no luck... I'm goin back April 9th to see if I can find it again...

I've been thinking I should add "whoever played on Eddie Bo's hook & sling", but I didn't think I'd ever find the name. Thanks for that info jonnycuba. Any idea who played drums on Professor Longhair's "The Big Chief"?

haven't really gottent to listen to it yet. anyone up one this allready?
its has two drummers on the front.<thats gotta mean drums, that should go in the cratedigger newbie sticky: any record w/ a drum kit(or two) as the centerpiece on a dusty jazz lp will have samples on it.

purdie, idris, and gadd are the cream of the crop for straight grooves.

max roach and blakey are my all time favorites tho.

honorable mention goes out to mike clark, albert "tootie" heath, billy hart, buddy rich, and tony williams.
