it 's just a little thing i like to call ear tuning, your ears are adjusting to new sounds that your ears are not use too hearing different freq's tones of music and sht, dude it happen to me when i got my mpc about 41/2 years ago , i use to get it alot when spinning house and techno, it's just adjustments , fine tune if you will. just dont listen to music too loud and dont go hang out in front of a speaker in a club or concert then you will phuck up your hearing,
ease up on the music a tad try using your monitors instead of you head shells or vise versa.
this will last a few days or weeks but dont be alarmed ,
if it last more than 6 month your phucked
dont worry i got a PHD in music as a healing tool. it works for me.
Sometimes my ears hurt too, I'm in the process of buying a SPL( sound pressure level) meter to monitor how loud I'm listening to my music. I know with myself it's just natural to have music loud and since I do it so much I don't even realize that it is loud.
Protect those ears like Fort Knox . I almost lost all of the hearing in my left ear from being too bent @ a house party I was DJing 5 years ago and cranking the volume for some es'e because he couldn't hear 2Pac enough and the monitor was right next to my head (another bad mistake) . I was awakened in the middle of the night w/ a feeling I can only describe as someone stirring a screwdriver to my brain through my ear, slow & rough . Scariest sh!t ever . Took me @ least 6 months to feel comfortable w/ my hearing and I haven't done a house party since .
these are terrifying stories. i always tell my friends to turn down the music in the car cuz i need to protect my ears. what the **** is the sense in playing your music for everyone on the sidewalk to hear if you can't hear it yourself?
When you go to a show, use earplugs.
It'll bring the music down, and you can still hear it pretty good.
I can understand what they're saying a little better, even though the highs get cut out that's alright.
And after the show you don't get ringing in your ears.
Even if it's jazz or the quiet storm I hook a beat up convert it in a hip-hop form
me too i cant stand when my friends blast the car system when im in the back. wow i can feel the bass vibrations but the rest of the musik is distorted as fuk. fine if you wanna hear earplugs but its just not enjoyable.
i got the shit checked and it might be some damage...but i rocked ear plugs and made tracks for a couple days at lower volumes and the ringing is much lower/less...on the real this could be the best lesson of my life. hopefully they go back to normal. at the same time, what DJ E.D.E. is sayin might be right on point...
Yo EL, why can't we have the secret tinitis cure?
Secret society?
My ish rings, and I am usually MAAAD careful w/ my ears.
It seems to crop up when a room is relatively silent.
All of a sudden, ringing.
But as a rule, even before that started,
I mix low on quality monitors, and
I only pump when I'm gonna walk
around the room and check bass.
