make sure you r accessing the right file from media player, cuz my soundforge makes a wav. file and a sfk.(?) file by default

@ DubbleD - You know when you mess up and you UNDO your stuff and try again in SF? Well, that SFK file is holding that undo information so that you CAN always undo or unprocess, and it's also used as a sorta temp file for whatever your working on. Also, if you close out SF and you have it set to open last project up on startup then SF will read that SFK file for the last settings you used while processing that file. ONLY after you've completed your project and will NEVER need those undos again can you delete that SFK file. BTW I like your cartoon.

@ emcee0001 - When you save make sure you save as MICROSOFT WAV PCM, that file should be fine with windows media player AND mpc1k.

Damn, I thought that file was just for the waveform drawing so it wouldn't have to scan the file again.

If you look closely when you open up a file that has an associated SFK you will see that SF still reads/scans the whole wave form (bottom left screen while loading the file). SFK's are small in size so you can tell it's not the actual sound file, it's just keeping settings/undo's and junk that's all.

Also, it good practice from time to time to learn about the different file extensions that are associated with your audio computer programs so that you know what you are dealing with and where you can possbily bend rules and such. That helps alot in dealing with transfer of samples to any MPC.
