Can it be done? I dont see it in the "Loop" menu in the "Trim" function.

But if I wanna take this 8 bar loop i have and cut it into 8 pieces, how do I do that? I tried but when I say "DO IT" after I make it a new sound, it says the filename is already in use?! And its not

you gotta select your start and end points. that will highlight what you want to chop. then press the F5 button. it says EDIT. you gotta rename it before you press do it from that screen. rename it, then DO IT.
then when your done doin all your chops, go into Program mode (Shift + 6) and assign them to pads.

AFter you name it make sure you hit enter.I had that problem when i started.Just overlooked it and it kept sayin' name used.I know it's basic stuff but i was in such a rush to make somethin' i was missin' little stuff.

I had to add it cause when i first started that was my main problem. 
Somethin' so small was makin' me crazy.When i finally realized what was wrong i wanted to slap myself.Sometimes it's the little stuff that we skip because we get so anxious to make a beat.
