hi there..
i am having a problem with the mpc reading the cdroms i brun with .snd files on them..
i realized that The CD-ROM would instead have to be a sector image duplicate of an MPC3000 hard disk..
how do i go about burngin a cdr with .snd files so that my mpc recognizes it??
my o.s. by the way is 3.03
(i'm waiting on the 3.11 rom chips)

A sector image duplicate of an MPC-60/MPC-3000 file system disk is best created with a CD-BURNING tool that can handle "blind" sector transfer from source ( the mpc drive ) to target, the CDROM - disk.

If possible, the imaging should be done under an operating system like WIN98 ( GoldenHawk/Nero/WinOnCD ) or MAC OS 9.2.2 ( Toast ). Lots of issues why which I'm not going to go into for many reasons.

Then ... if your CD-ROM drive supports it, set the block size jumper to 512 before connecting it to your MPC-60/MPC-3000 so that the MPC will think it's a hard disk drive and all will be well.

3.11 in ROM ???

Why not go to 3.14 ??? :-)
