I have an opportunity to get a custom built computer that comes with Intel P4 1.8 GHz CPU never over clocked, Mainboard, 4x AGP slot, Floppy Drive, CD Rom, CD burner, Soundblaster soundcard, 512 Memory, 40 gig Hard Drive, LAN, Windows XP Pro SP2, Sonar Producer Pro 4, Logic Audio Vegas Video/Audio 4, Acid 4, Neuedo, Cakewalk Project 5, Soundforge 7, Wave labs 4, T-Racks Mastering Suite, Waves, TC Native, Antares, and over 100 different Dx and VST Plug ins and Synchs, The software is all preloaded onto hard drive full Retail Version . The computer comes with Motherboard and Soundcard install disk only, no other disk comes with computer....can this totally replace my mpc 2000xl? i can but this computer for $450...my paln is to buy it and sell my mpc...is this a good idea?

I would hate for someone to sell an MPC, but yes..

With those programs, you can sample, chop, sequence, master, edit, yadda yadda yadda

and for 450???? geesh!!! you can buy two (almost) if you sell your MPC

just another example of the technology age overtaking the world!!!!!!!

having all that software could be a real creativety killer. think about whether you really want to bog your self down in learning how to use all those programs....?
