ok i wanna start dropping beats but i dont know what to do
i bought every thing but i dont know what to set up and how to use it

2 denon 3000 cd turntables
1 numark ttx turntable
1 denon 1500 mixer
1 mackie onyx
1 410 firewire interface card
1 fantom x7
1 mpc1000
and reason 3.0

I would have thought about that before spending a LOT of money like that. You don't know how to use any of it?

Just cuz you gotta dicc and jerk off don't mean you know "how to use it" if you don't know what goes where when it 's time to get down.

I'd be killing people left and right to get that kind of equipment. Some people are making sick beats with pots and pans probably somewhere in the world. Its great to have all the latest greatest equipment but let your passion for music guide you to learn more, whether through books, the internet, other more experienced producers, etc. You can't expect to magically become dr dre because you spent ****loads of money on gear. Its a gradual process. Kepp your ears and mind open and work just as hard learning the ropes as you (hopefully) did to earn the money for your gear.

Nblazer... My recommendation would be put everything back in its box EXCEPT ya mpc then find a comfy chair stick in some headphones & pick up ya manual open page 1.. Then spend every spare moment for the next month reading & pushing buttons.. After 1 month you should be knowing what ya mpc is all about.. Then read up on everything, read basic midi theory books whatever.. What you gotta remember this s*** takes A LONG TIME... basically put the next 3 yrs aside to learning ya stuff.. Then you MIGHT be good enough.. That peeps will like ya s***..Good luck

He sounds like he bought everything so he can get to use it. he just wants help in connecting not a tutorial of each piece of gear. at least he has this gear.

but like what was said above, you are going to need a lot of midi cables and a few firewire/USB cables. What connects to what wil depend on how you want your gear laid out. It's all logical. what you can do in the meantime is start researching midi and midi connections to see how and why you connect what you connect to what.

send the firewire 410 back, and get the firewire interface for the onyx mixer, as having a soundcard, and onyx is redundant.
