Hi y'all (you too jellyjim...
)
Im completely new here and dont even own an MPC...
but before you all drag me outside and throw a rope around the nearest tree just hear me out, for gods sake at least hear me out!!
im thinking seriously about getting the MPC 1000. the features it has versus what it doesnt have versus the price compared to other MPCs seems to indicate that its the one for me, plus people seem to generally rave about it as much or more than some of the other MPCs...
BUT! its missing one thing which I reckon I might not be able to do without, it cant sync to MTC!! I would want to use this with my DAW, running cubase SX. theres no way i can see sequencing everything from the MPC , i use some soft synths / sanmplers, or just regular audio on the arrange page in Cubase and i would definitely NEED to sync up Cubase with the MPC, preferably with teh MPC as master since it has the really great timing, or so you all tell me
SO! anybody working round that problem at the moment??? is it a big deal? i cant see how id get around that. I have read that using standard midi clock is not a good idea and is jittery at best. So how the hell would i sync my mp1k to cubase SX if i go out and buy it??
thanks
D
