WHATS THE PROCESS?????

when you sample, what ever it is your sampling what do you do.

i ve been listening to some music on here and do you guys section your sample and cut it up in to pieces so when you record a track you have different sections of your sample or do you sample different sections and match them to fit one anohter.

just wondering what your process is.

Many people I know do both depending on how they are feeling that day..

for me.. i have to cut my sample into equal sections... it gives me more flexibility to repeat a section as far as stuttering... it...

but the loop must be at least one bar for me to want to cut it into at least two sections.... other than that....

or you mean zone the sound and adjust each zone right,
adjust each sound to how you want it to sound right.

sorry man my brain works slow, got to many noises in my head i want to release but they don't sound right some times.

yeah ... thats using the zone feature... i don't like me zones to be different lengths.. cuz the i'll have to worry about when is the perfect time to tap the pad in order to get the loop as a whole to flow smoothly...

iam not sure if that makes sense... take this for example...

you have a two bar loop... which has four piano notes... when you take it into zone.. and set the zone to 4 slices... pretty much each piano note hits at the beginning of each zone and sustains and dies at the end of the zone... basically each note lasts half a bar..... now thats something i would chop....


but if the first note sustained all the way to the middle of the 2nd zone...etc.... then most of the time i wouldn't chop that loop... i'll leave it as is...

i personally use the screen not the zone feat......you chop what you need and delete the original file!....it doesn't have to be equal you just have to be on point when you wanna use it.....wait for your cue homie.....just make sure your tempo matches your loop!

i think i'm get the concept. i'm going to have to try this techniques.

i 've never done it this way ,

i use the zone to slice but like xkwest said he slices everything evenally
i dont do this, i just chop it to the sound i like or want.
