Right click on 'MPC4000' in the aksys and there you have Pad Editor. Is this what you are looking for?

i guess thats what im looking for im looking so that i can create pgms on the computer by auditioning samples, assigning sounds to the pads and then transfering to be called up on the mpc itself

Hmmm... Exactly what Ak.Sys is used for. Download, install , run it.

You'll see 2 sections. 1 for Memory and 1 for HD.

Go to Memory - , select Program and right click and create a new program.

Wala, you have a program, in Memory, no need to be transferred from
computer to mpc , as you have already created it in the MPC's RAM, just
be sure to save it before turning off the machine.

You can drag drop and audition all you want. If you want to assign to pad editor rather then key groups, then do as gmm04e says.

Hope this helps....

I work on a mac and don't have the "right" button, how can I find the pad editor? I fell off with my aksys skills since I've not been able to edit my sounds one at a time; Frustrated the SH!T outta me.

it's not easier if you have 200 samples in memory and have to scroll through all of them. It's easier to drag and drop.
