Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

have yall ever been working with your mp and it starts to do things on its own. Now im not talking about making beats on its own, but when I go to name a track sometimes it will just start adding extra letters or numbers that I didnt put in there. Or just changing from track 1 to 2 I will move my hand and that sucka will start going to 3 or 8 or whatever. I was thinking about having a preacher come through and throw some holy water on it.

But I still woundnt trade it in.

Does someone know if there is a way to erase only pressure after a note is played. I know how to go into step edit and do it one by one but is there a faster way. Really Its no big deal.

Because I still wouldnt trade it in

yup, when in the erase screen, you can scroll from all events to only notes to all except notes.

I had something happen to me like that once. I was making a beat and I think I was trying to save it when all of a sudden the MPC froze up, re-chopped my sample in a completely different way than I had, sequenced some of the chops, and started playing a 2-bar loop. My drum pattern remained the same as I played it. The sad thing is that the beat actually sounded beter than the one I had just made myself. I had no way of recording it at the time so after I listened to it for a minute I hit a couple buttons on the MPC and it stopped playing and was just frozen. I turned the power off an started over. I've kinda been waiting for this to happen again but it hasn't yet.
