Crappy sound coming out of my 4k

Hey

This is quite a newbiequestion but ive tried to look it up in the manual and also couldnt find it in the newbie bible y´all put up..

When i record lets say a drum session on the pads it sounds ok..but when i i play it again to hear how it sounds...Its like the sound´s changed.
Like a bit of flanger effect or some on them..but also when i go to effects no effects are on whatsoever so it cant be that easy..
Anybody recognize this?

maybe your sounds are recorded twice

check in "Step Edit" mode to see if each sound is doubled or not

I don't quite follow, "when you play them again", what do you mean,

but it sounds like you where jamming and over-looped your jam ie recorded some of your pads twice at almost the same location,

go into program select all, tun poly to 1, if your prhasing turns into doubble triggering, then call me sherlock alright homes ...

it sounds like you have a RAM problem i had this with my MPC as well, like a ringing tone added to the samples. you have a compatibility problem with one of your chip, change it and everything 'll come back to normal

on the last reply they changed the way the RAM was addressed which caused my MPC to start sounding more like a ring modulator was on it rather than a flaner. I swapped the memory and it was fine. It was fine until they updated the OS recently.

got cleared of the problem now and it sounds great for some reason.
Think my ram is ok but i´ll have a check..

Uhm, good question...By working a lot on the machine and keep ears open to that ringing sound described a few posts up.
