I just got back from a demo on the Korg Oasys. Has anyone used this keyboard? I'm thinking of coppin' it but I don't know anyone who has it and the presenters at those demos are only there to SALE the product even if it sucks. I need a main session keyboard for my studio (not my home studio my commercial studio). If anyone has any history with this board it would be appreciated.

Peace, Doc Martin

Man, that keyboard cost too much in my opinion ( I think suggested sales price is $8000.00). It has the same sound engine as the korg karma( which is the same as the triton) with the ability to record, I believe, 16 audio tracks and also some soft keyboards( plug-ins) inside. I mean, you could buy a triton, laptop computer, audio interface, and plug-ins( you can alot of free purchase plug-ins off of various sites) for under $3000 and have a more powerful setup than the oasis. But I guess it is pretty seductive to have all that in 1 unit, but remember that whenever you have something that's totally intergrated you have to deal with the fact that if 1 thing breaks then you have to ship the whole thing off to get fixed. This is just my 2 cents, take it with a grain of salt. Peace.

I mean it's for a commercial studio myself and a partner are starting but yeah, you don't get invited to these demos unless you got the paper. I do ok. I mean this is how I make a my money anyways. Plus it will pay itself off in the long run. Thanks for your help thou.

8 G's. That's way out of my price range but hey if you can swing it go for it.Like 5 Beatz said to have it all in one unit would be an advantage.Good luck with that yo.

Way out of my league price-wise, but if we're lucky korg will use this keyboard like their old oasys (unreleased) and release cheaper alternatives with features taken from this board.

Found one for 6180.00................... hmm, I'm feelin' another impulsive gear lust purchase comin' on.

that keyboard is dope and it doesn't just use the same pcm synthesis as the triton/karma. but i think it is a good workstation if u don't have a daw. if u do then u r buying features that u wont use. wait for the strait keyboard version. it will be in the $3000 and have the same sounds.
