saving sounds from external devices

I have a MPC 2000. I use a mo'phatt and a korg n364 for sounds. I need to know how to save the sounds that I've used from my external devices, so that the next time I bring up a song the sounds will automatically be there, instead of me manually setting the sounds on each device.

I'm an mpc newbie bro.. but u gotta do that in each sound module if ur just talkin that u running the midi sequence out to the modules. i use a triton and it saves songs as templates.. i just save the song as a template and load it when i load mpc song.. i don't think there is any way around that.

from your mpc, look on the bottom right next to velocity you'll see pgm:off or something similar.

pgm stands for program/patch/sound. so when you change that your basically changing which sound your using on the module you want.

use pgm instead of changing the patch directly from the module. that way when you save the .all file on the mpc, its saving the pgm you selected also. so when you load it back up, it jumps to that patch on the module automatically.

I definitely appreciate the tip. My problem was how I was saving my sequences, and now I will try the .all save. Earlier today I was looking through threads I noticed that you help out alot. That's cool.

Search the forums for Sysex Bulk Dump... This will dump the "mix" you have in your synth down to a sequence in the MPC that will save all of your patch and mix info from the synth.

Gutta just hooked you up.
To save your sounds from the sound modules and keys, so that when you load up the song in the MPC, they load the appropriate sounds, you'll have to so a sysex bulk dump into the MPC and save it as a sequencer (preferrably) at the start of the song...but a few bars befopre the music starts.

Read up on it here and in your manuals.
