I can understand both sides in this thread, I myself didn't really care if he did or didn't work with KRS(now if he said "I just came from a session with Dre(or Quick)", I woulda been all in his biz but KRS can kick rocks for all I care.

What I do know is that he had a great analogy(I'm a sucker for a good analogy) with that Larry Bird line so he's cool with me.

As for LT's comments on Doc, Doc seems like a cool dude but that sig does give off a snobby kinda feel, this is a forum of aspiring producers tryin' to get they foot in the game after all so somebody who actualy is in the door sayin "Im gettin paid, are you" can be miscontrued to mean that your contributions around here should be valued more than somebody not gettin paid from music. I'm not syain' that that is what you mean by that sig(I have an idea why that's your sig) just tyrin to explain why it may rub some cats the wrong way.

All that said, gongrats to Doc, LBP and all the other cats in these forums that's makin noise in the game.

Lord Toranaga wrote:my point is. If you need help, just ask for it. no one care who you work with.

and doc, Maybe everone does not want to be pro. Myself for instance have no desire to work in the music industry. I make plenty of money doing my own thing. I am a hobbiest, and nothing more. now I bow before you in respect, beacause you must be the master. Because you make some money in the rap game, and like to throw it down our thoats every chance you get. Now, please this is not meant to be an attack. Just an observation. you like to make us feel poorly because you make mnoey in the game, you even put it in your signature.

Not tryin, to offend ANYONE!!! I'll change it. But just know one thing. If your focusing on a signature than, your not ready to get paid for your craft. And I'll keep to myself from now on.

actually the LArry bird analogy didnt even make sense.

It has nothing to do with jealousy or hatred, but it seems rather suspect when someone mentions getting that far in the game (far enough to have KRS do a track with you on a whim), yet dont know something basic as removing samples from the MPC. Thats one of the first things people learn on their mpc, and it just seems illogical and suspect to think that someone can get THAT far in the game as to have KRS-ONE do a track with them, but cant get past something they learned on DAY ONE of MPC learning. Wouldnt you agree that sounds suspect? If It wasnt KRS, if it was Dre, if it was Guru, if it was ANYONE that well-respected, it still would look suspect. IF I just told you I smoked Rakim in a battle, but dont know how to turn a mike on....wouldnt you think I was full of sh1t?

That being said, I heard the snippet, and my man is nice with the beat. KRS rips it. I apologize if I came off rude, but considering how complex this beat is, its just...odd...that he cant do something as basic as removing samples from memory, which many of us "amateurs" learned in the first 15 minutes of using the machine, months and years before we could make a beat, and light years from being ready to do a track this dope, and with KRS no less.

Just my 2pence....

I got a dude who cant wire up shit, but if u prepare it all for him an tell him whats what, he's gone!

Then theres guys who know everything about every frequency, gates reverb etc but can make shit - lol

I wonder how many people can get the chance to work with XYZ but then at any given time get a brain freeze. it can happen.

I could have XYZ with me in the studio tomorrow an need to find out how to use my AUX send/returns on my board...What does that mean???

Remember we learn things every day....Some are more prepared than others for the journey but that dont mean uknow the way seemlessly.

Dont feel pressured to prove yourself unless u want to silence people for your own pleasure  - It aint no one elses bizniz what uknow an what u still need to touch up on...Or who your working with blah blah

Jus do your thing....I aint no wizard on studio equipment but I can deliver the goods when I need to so I dont give a do-do -

The thing is that I really never had to erase. I would just make my beat throw it on protools save it and that was it, I would turn off the MPC and wouldn't care so i never explored that function. I learned how to make a beat real quick theres just some things that I don't know and thats why I came here. Everybody here should have the right to say who they worked with.. If you don't care about the subject don't post , saying things like I don't care who you woked with, isn't that a waste of your time? I would love to hear that somebody here worked with a pro, If i didn't like the artist then I would just leave you alone. Then again you have the right to say whatever you want.. PEACE
