It's not an actual show.It's just a commercial on MTV2.It's kind of hard to catch unless you just keep your t.v. on MTV2 all day.They got other cats on there too.(I saw one that had Alc,but he was kind of buggin'.)


Oh yeah,by the way,good link.Me and my crew used to use Hip Hop Ejay 3 and you couldn't tell the diiference in our tracks and tracks made with hardware.I guess it just depends on the person though.

Fruity loops is dope, 9th is good, but yo, there will be much better fruity loops users in the future, if not already out there. Home boy got his hype cuz he made computer beats while most cats think you need certain equipment to make real beats, and the fact is you don't. Or even the assumption that fruity loops is really limited, and it's not. I just don't get it.

It's it obvious that it's easier than ever to make music on the cheap?

couldnt see the link but if its that in the lab series mtv2 has then i seen some of those. some cats go into production techniques while others just say who they would want to work with or inspired them. theyre mostly shown during hip hop show on mtv2 before they go to a commercial

I know they had an actual program on the top producers in the game and i think up and coming on their sucker free sunday shit they have. I missed it so now im searchin everyday to see when its coming on next. Anyone catch that?

he wasnt hyping up fruity loops he was talking about how u dont need a million dollar setup to make music. that u can have the illest equipment and make garbage which is true. And to prove his point he went into talking about 9th wonder and just making stuff on fruity loops. It wasnt like it was a fruity loops commercial or justblaze saying go get a cheap program to make music, he was just tryin to make a point.

I dont see why the hell cats are shocked when someone does make something dope on FL. Everyone seems to judge FL for face value and its preset sounds (who the hell uses presets?).

When you use or own samples (cool edit/adobe adution/soundforge as the editor, and use FL as the sequencer for these samples, whats the big deal? It is pattern based beat making, working in terms of constructing seperate sequences and then putting these sequences together to form a song. hmm, not too different from many hardware samplers.

I dunno, to me, the whole situation is like rockin an akai s950 (cool edit/audition/forge), with an asq-10 (FL) as the sequencer in terms of principles.

Then you have guys who always bring up "hands on" feel. which is a defunct excuse considering there are knob control surfaces, midi keyboards, midi pads, etc.

The you got the "it sounds so thin" comments, which are usually made by people using sub par generic motherboard/off the shelf audio cards.

Then you got the "its so stiff". nah, you program stiff. if you program stiff on an mpc, its gonna be stiff, you program stiff on FL its gonna be stiff.

Sorry I am just ranting but its funny people talk abot FL like "damn hes making hot shit with wack equipment" when in actuality, behind the weak name and the presets, it's doing what everyone has been accustomed to for years.

Hip hop has always been about makin the most out of shit when you really dont have much.
