BPM 97.724

Is it posible to do this by example??

I can only go to 97.7 bpm...but for example I need 97.724

why so exact? as in cound you just take the loop @ 97.724 and timestretch or pitch it down top 97 or up to 98?

plus the 97.724 is only about 1.4 beats off from 97 so maybe you could work with it, add a stutter effect or somfin.

No because of a beatcontest, we're using the mob Deep accapella Quiet storm, if you calculate it it is 97.7324 something like that, and the accapella dont fits well

dude, I find that acapella's DONT always have to fit the beat. ex. I have an acapella that the song is @ 93 bpm, but the acapella also fits well with a song @ 90 BPM.
I would chop the acapella in recycle by bars, like chop out 8-16 bars at a time of it, and lay each block since the acapella's "timing' switches, like say its 88 for the first 16 bars, but there is one bar where he is spitting really fast, so that tempo might me 90. the overall tempo will be a combo of the 88 and the 90 which will even out to in between, despite the fact that the first 16 bars are @ 88.

why not cop the wax for it if you can find it and manually adjust the speed as it goes. i dont know if you dj or not but even if you dont, if you have a good direct drive tt you should be able to match em up with a little adjustment to the speed slider. thats how i always remix accapellas. foos got the scoop if you dont have a TT though. either way.

oh yeah! that too. As a DJ now I feel like a moron for not simply suggesting the easy way to do it. Do you remember the remix 16 from akai? that is how it worked. you fed in signlas (acapellas) and then you could remix it live. I would go the live route if you can, it will sound "funkier" and more natutral.

in foo's case/advice, im down with that. the thing about acapellas is it isnt as simple as working out a few equations then laying the beat on

you have to be a bit musical when you deal with acapellas and the best way to do that is to throw the calculator in a draw and get your hands dirty

i sweated over a bboys acapella Hold It Now for a while as their trademark oldskool overlap made it hard to segment it quickly

in the end i just made rough cuts and got used to triggering them manually and thinking more like a DJ then an Engineer

Thats how I do it, straight slowing it down, speeding it up by holding down the center knob that pokes through the hole in the vinyl.

No math for me.
