hey what's the easiest way to work, guys on creating a song in your mpc 4000...

say if you have 4 main tracks all on seq 1
for example purposes only, say we have on TRACK:

1 : a drum peformance or loop
2 : a midi keyboard for melody roland,korg, whatever
3 : a hi hat pattern
4 : a clap

how do u guys create a whole 3;30 minute tune... do u guys just highlight bars press WINDOW add more bars ........then go into the the step edit mode... go to COPY and then copy a track from start to end point in about 15 tracks like i do ??

so there are 4 tracks right now .. ill make a 5th one the same as track 1 , 6th one the same as track 2, 7th one the same as track 3, 8th one same as track 4, 9th one the same as track 1 and so forth .......until your change up Chorus/bridge

for most of the duration of your song?

there an easier way 2 do this guys thanx! 8)

make sequence 1 the intro
make sequence 2 the verse
make sequence 3 the break

then go into song mode and place them in the order you want them, you can also convert to one long sequence.

song's can also act like clipboards, where one can for instance essemble an into out of a few patterns and the convert it to a single pattern to use in your "main song" as just the intro pattern

If i understand you right instead of copying tracks and making 1 big sequence with track mute you can make a 4 track sequence and copy that sequence 4 times tweaking each sequence to your liking then arrange with song mode.
