ASR 10/MPC 2000XL HOW TO USE ALL 16 MIDI CHANNELS WITH ASR

I GOT THE FIRST SAMPLE TO PLAY out by pressing number 1 on the asr 10 but when i go to midi 2 in the mpc 2000xl and press 2 on the asr 10 to play my second sample it switches to playing the second sample instead of continuing to play the first sample and allowing me to play the second sample along I know its a simple prob any help is appreciated

you need to switch midi channel on the mpc as well.

i did that on my roland you have to press perform tone everytime you move a insr for multiple sounds to play is there something else i could be doing wrong?
