Bought my first MPC-60 today for $500!!!!!!!

yea butch is pretty right. I ain't trying to slander this kids rep either but I sure am glad I didn't buy it. Lets see how it boils out between Tic and Red. Maybe Tic will call him and see whats up. You know, most cats get ghost after they rip a brother off..so let's see if Red has got anything to say. If all boils down to goodness than I retract my "put the drop on em" statement....and the "musta stole it"..I'll eat the crow on this one.

Maybe he found out PerpNoob is local and he needed the cash fast and he would either return the cash to Tic or whatever.

Why would someone sell for 500 when they have 730 on the way?

Hold out tic, you'll get a 60, **** that serato, that 45 king vid seemed to show some pitch modulation when he would let go of the record, like it was taking longer to track pitch than a needle would.

That's EXACTLY the case El. Here's the deal: Tic said he wanted it, and to use online escrow. No problem. I emailed him the pics, he said ok cool. Sent another email asking him when this was supposed to go down. No reply. Sent another email the next day. No reply. Then I dropped the price here on MPC forums, cuz I REALLY needed the cash. I sent Tic ANOTHER message to tell him I was gonna put it up on eBay like I said in my original post. No reply. I put it up on eBay. Tic finally emails back askin me why I put it on ebay. I let him know that I thought the deal was off, cuz I hadn't heard back. Tic said "I'll send the money in the morning when I get my check". I cancelled the eBay auction that same day. Waited till 1:30 today, no email from the online escrow, no email from Tic. PerpetualNoob contacted me AND was only 15 minutes away from where I work. I told Tic in the beginning that I needed to do this as quick as possible, he lagged and I still have yet to receive any indication that he ever sent the money. Sorry Tic, not tryin to hate on you, but I waited all day for your email homie. Now, for the rest of you, except Elmacco of course, I think it's hilarious how people are so quick to judge someone they know nothin about... "He must have jacked it from somebody" that might be what some of you broke fools might do for loot, but not me. I got the 60 from the original owner this summer when I BOUGHT my studio. Sorry for the long thread, but I refuse to let y'all thrash me like I'm some type of crook.

I didnt know how "quick" you meant.

Escrow takes a few days, sometimes a few weeks. I showed you that when I showed you the escrow site's website. You didnt seem to have an issue with it.
And Im sitting here looking at my email, you never emailed me back.

Im glad you found a local seller and everything went smoothly. Had you waited a few extra days you would have had an extra $230 in your pocket. glad everything worked out though.

It's all good Tic. I'm sorry about the way it worked out man. I was in a SERIOUS bind, and I needed the cash to take care of it. I know a couple of producers that were lookin to sell their MPC-60 and MPC-60II about a week or so ago.

I'll check with them this week and if everything looks good, I'll hook you up with one of them and you can get your 60, for about the same price I let mine go for, only it will be in better condition.
