scsi chain

I have an iomega zip 100 and a cd drive ... the zip is connected to my 3000
and working fine.....whats the next step i take to get the cdr hooked into the chain?....details please....

you should have two scsi ports in back of that zipdrive just buy another cable and from zipdrive----->cd-drive and assing scsi device ID's correct

example i have mpc2k--->zip ID4---->HD ID5 scsi chains accept every possible connection... just buy correct cable to connect cd-drive to your zip and you are good to go

And turn on termination on the cdr and turn the termination off on the zip drive.

thanks for the tips guys,,,it still wont work properly though..
I've hooked it up (the cdr) on its own just to see if it would load and I still get the " no go " message on the MPC. I see the LED on the CDR light up and its getting the scsi signal ,but they are still not talking the same language.
I may just call AKAI and see if they can help some.

does it show up in the load screen ?

what scsi id is it set to ?

what about termination ?
