Hi

Just got my my MPC60II backlight from Telesis. Wondering if anyone has done the replacement themselves? Is there anything I should or shouldn't do to make this procedure go smoothly. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

I can solder but I'm not a technician. Do think it is safe for a novice to do this kind of repair to a 60?

What would be great is diagram like in the Ver 3 upgrade document.

Thanks
Hugo

No diagrams, you just got to get in there and get at the LCD board, so lots of screw driving. Just desolder the two prongs of the old backlight, you can even just heat up the solder and use a paperclip or something to lift the prongs off the solder pads, then slide the old one out, slider the new one in and solder.

The solderisng is very simple, nothing to be scared of, getting in to the backlight is more difficult, but not too bad, just a lot of unscrewing.

Close, it's macaque in spanish, Macaque is the rehsus monkey which our blood types are named from, the RH in RH O-, or RH A+.
