a way to stop pads from playing ? ?

i know i can asign a certain pad to stop another pad from playing, but is there a way to make it where any pad will cut off any other pad? or better said, i want to be able to make it where, no mater what pad is playing, i can cut it off with any other pad. so that it works like that for every pad

I don't know what MPC you're using but on the 2kxl and 60 you can assign one pad to cut off only two pads.

maybe just use note-off.Because like Spectre said you can only assign 2.That's on the 2k also.

can i do that on the 1000?

I kind of have a solution, but it takes more than 1 pad for it. What you do is set up your mute groups of pads that will turn off other pads, but you use the top 4 pads for this. What you do is have the top 4 pads with no samples and mute groups set from 1 to 4. I usually only need 1 blank pad, but you can do it like this. I'm sure there are other ways around this

This is the best way. Press the stop button 2-3 times and all sounds will shut off. GUARANTEED!
