"also in all honesty, ,you sure get a whole more respect, when you rock hardware. especially when you know how to rock IT. "
i did not in anyway say you get less respect when your on a computer. and the operative piece at the end in caps, when you know what your doing.
buboclaat idiot. and if you noticed i was speaking in first person, so its how the blodclat i feel. so dont pu ssy clat quote me, and fit it into your scheme of rassclat views. and yes i am directing this to you roxstar.and elmacaco i did not say in any way tht it is a reason why you or any one should get hardware, once again i was speaking in first person, i already stated which no one mentioned why i like hardware, which was, for those who got a problem reading
I FEEL LIKE THERE IS MORE OF ME IN THE MUSIC, AND SO I FEEL SATIFISED, LIKE WHEN I GO IN THE GARDEN AND TEND TO GANJA IN THE FIELDS. WITH BASIC TOOLS, LIKE A FORK, INSTEAD OF SOME COPLEX SHIZ LIKE HYDROPONICS.
the comment about the 950, mp's, sp's, etc: word, but so many people dont remember, FL and other programs sync up with hardware just fine. I've used my pc to control outboard hardware equipment countless times without a hitch.
tht maybe true jaeone, but what the hell does tht have to do with my comment, i like physical, i dont give a sh1t about syncing, i am not fighting down software, i am stating my opinions and feelings on it, dont try and sell me into something i have done already and come to a conclusive report on. and you can sync mp to cubase and use it as a module, and so what, i still went out and copped a 2500, for the price of that i could have a complete array of sounds that are more pleasing, and can edit and control more in the computer, , i do my thing, and that is with a garden fork,
well Jaeone3345 you quoted me, so i will take tht your last response is directed at me, if thts how you feel then so be it, but you dont even know where i am coming from and where i am going ,
its amazing how alot of youalll take my comments and try to fit it in to your views or methology of life, its sickening.
i went to the largest music retailer in england to demo some gear, and i told cats my set up, "yea i rock a 950, and a mp, etc etc,
they were like huh?????????????. dont you use a computer, yea as a tape deck. from then on they told thier friends and thier frineds told thier friends until about half the store came up to me asking why?/ i simply told them i am a cave man. i felt good because i was different very different, and i will strive to be that way, some dude even gave me his number and invited me down to his studio. cause he is working on some music cross over stuff.
ask your selves the question why are companies so pushing the software evolution in music. to make more money???? at present theey are working on a human interafe protocol tht allows you to control applicatins from the brain directly, from your thoughts. so then, you same cats would be like yea i rock a brain wave generator, and you rock a control surface, your so out dated.
once again let me illerate why i like hardware,
I FEEL LIKE THERE IS MORE OF ME IN THE MUSIC, AND SO I FEEL SATIFISED, LIKE WHEN I GO IN THE GARDEN AND TEND TO GANJA IN THE FIELDS. WITH BASIC TOOLS, LIKE A FORK, INSTEAD OF SOME COPLEX SHIZ LIKE HYDROPONICS.
" I don't use the 60 because of tradition, but I get props for rockin the old stuff, cuz some people know why." elmacaco
the very same thing, my mp may not be old, but i get joy every time i hit a pad, and chop a sample, and i get props too, but that is broughta, and in some way it makes me feel good, i get to appreciate what i have more. and i am in no way saying that is what it takes for me to enjoy my gear.
so next time when any of you quoting, dont edit it to fit your bill please, particularly JaeOne3345, and Roxstar.
thank you.
Ill quote this whole one this time, lol. keep in mind in no way was i trying to twist words, but i simply spoke on those comments, why waste space, but **** it, ill quote this entire one.
"i did not in anyway say you get less respect when your on a computer. and the operative piece at the end in caps, when you know what your doing. "
Logically, if someone said they get a whole lot more respect, the term "more" made it sound like it was on comparison to something. no, you didnt say less respect when on a computer period, but when using "more" in terms of hardware in comparison to a computer, it has a different connotation. thats simply how i interpreted, whether it was correct or false.
"tht maybe true jaeone, but what the hell does tht have to do with my comment, i like physical...."
i like the physical too. which is why i cant **** with a mouse to enter note data, etc, and i use controllers/pads/keys. lots of people bring up the physical aspect and some feel that there is just no hope for retaining such an aspect when using a mac or pc. thats all. I brought up the 950, mpc, etc just as a reminder that all these tools along with software and others work fine together. lots of cats think "oh shit software, its the end of the road". i say **** it, keep doin what your doing, and if you feel the need to, shit then try/use all of it if you can. if not, keep grindin what you got, if it works, why fix it?
"buboclaat idiot...."
whoever that was directed too...no need for some out of hand drama, seen?
"well Jaeone3345 you quoted me, so i will take tht your last response is directed at me, if thts how you feel then so be it, but you dont even know where i am coming from and where i am going ,

my last response? if it was strictly directed at you, i would have said so. like i said, got no problem with cats voicing opinions, as long as they got their facts straight. if they do, then dope. as said before, that comment was made in general. once again, i wasnt trynna twist words, but i did comment on the comments you made that i felt were worthy of questioning.
and this isnt directed at you either skalawag: for me its all about preference, i enjoy a mix of both, some like one or the other strictly, thats all good with me too. i have love for it all, shit, my pops (yea my pops), still owns an s950 he bought brand new. all that shit is useful to me.
people can have their opinions on all kinda shit, who the hell doesnt? it only bothers me when people arrive at conclusions and opinions on shit they never knew or dont know. i think everyone could agree with that.
at the end of the day, its all about cuttin, diggin, choppin shit up, loadin samples into your computer, whether its an mpc computer, or a laptop computer, dont give a ****, its both electronic, they both got ram, motherboards, drives, lol. good hiphop music is good hiphop music. garbage is garbage.
elmacaco wrote:For real, having a lot or a little gear does not mean you are more / less creative. Having limited gear will force you to be creative, but having lots does not mean you are gonna suck. People always say that shyt and it comes down to the person, not the gear, which people say all the time as well, but no one seems to make the connection.
exactly, you could have a ton of shit and make weak shit, or make dope shit, OR you could have 2 spoons and a wooden desk and make weak shit or dope shit. dont really matter. as you said, it aint the gear. but u gotta admit that often to many times there are a lot of suckas who will judge someone based on hype, image, what shit they use, etc.
