i been messing around with midi files back and forth from the MPC and PC (logic audio) :

when i load a midi file in ....... i find the relevant notes/pads are not in any particular order.... i mean when in program mode and i press the pads in order .a1.a2.a3 i see the adjacant notes saying .52 .57 .58..... is it just my machine (maybe needs INITing?) or are all MPC2000XL like this as standard - i know i can change the adjacent note but that means i have to load a program to set that up all the time.... is there a reason for the way notes are laid out the way they are relevant to note numbers ..... im thinking if this is default mode then its something to do with industry standard MIDI CHANNEL 10 gm sound crap buisness or somethig.....Anyone know?

i'd like to get this sorted before i make and save alot of programs that i wouldnt like count on loading up right in the future!!

thanks all jazzur :P

No way to set it to default but you can create a blank autochromatic program, save it and just load it up when you need a program to be chromatic.
