Never had this in a previous os..

... And after that, I couldnt acces the save and/or load window, I couldnt eject the cd and when I tried opening Aksys, Aksys gave me an error saying: USB error nr xxx cable maybe unplugged?
I tried evrything without luck so I restarted the mpc and now everything works good again. I lost my no ride track tho It was a good one

This must be a new OS related thing cause it was right after I had installed the 1.7.1...

I wonder if any serious beta testing was done with this new OS. I wasn't asked this time, anyway, and I wonder if any of the other beta testers were involved.

I wasn't involved in this one either...

Hey ikke, that hanging thing has happend to me, mainly do to me pussing audiction and scrolling at the same time, pressing buttons faster than the messy HD can keep up, don't think its a 1.71, I think a orginized HD and patient button pressing is all thats needed to solve that bug..

HD has nothing to do with os, OS operates from flash rom.

it has to do with the update speed of the lcd which is directly the OS isn't it..

c if your scrolling through folders its fast & hassle free

but

if your scrolling though folders that are displaying their files at the same time, things can hang, especially if the folders contains 100's of files

I aint no computer messia but ... it makes sence ..don't it

I think we are all missing the point and ignoring a valuable lesson in our misdiagnosis of the problem. Do not use rides on the MPC 4000 it is bad for your MPC and bad for your beats.
