keyboard and mpc

ok i have my mpc and my roland keyboard midi together,im usin the mpc as the sequencer,so how do i use more than one patch in a track,im in perfomace mode on my keyboard so i can play it but it juss dont keep it?

im not a keyboard xpert but is that possible to record more than one patch in a track? you might have to record them on separate tracks (each patch). im just speakin on personal xperiences with keyboardz.

I just Bought an MPC 1000 and the Roland Fantom XR Module and had the same problem.
1) First your keyboard must be in multi-timbral mode.
2) You need to change the mode function on your keyboard to performance where you have up to 16 parts.
3) If you have ultimate piano or part 1 of your keyboard, then you need to change your midi channel to part 1a. If you have your R&b drum kit on part 2 of your roland, then you need to have your mpc set to channel 2a

You mention keep it.... You will have to save/write your patch as is when you are satified with what you have as far as what you selected sounds for on all 16 midi channels. If you are sure you will not be doing any further editing of sound and sequence you can dump the information from your keyboard to you MPC so you will only have to turn you keyboard On and put in preformance mode. The midi informatiom saved in teh MPC will seek out the proper midi sound. pretty cool feature.
