I don't understand if you have a 100mb zip drive and only 32mb of ram whats the point of having a zip drive?

Ram has nothing to do with saving samples.The 32mb just gives you more sampling time.You still need to have a device to save your seq.,sounds,etc.

ram is the on-board memory that enables the mpc to handle the sounds that u load from zip (thats LOAD, not RUN).
and it does not permenantly store any sounds into the mpc. u'll loose them after u turn yor machine off.
the more ram u hav the more sounds u can play wiv.
ive only got 16mb looking to upgrade to 512.
