i already have a cdr on my mp4k can i put a zip drive next to it

Yes it's possible, ZIP 250 works the best with the 4K.

That's one thing that I've been wondering about the 4000 I will be a proud owner of one next week.

You can use internal scsi, or ide. whatever you can find

or via usb you can attach multiples (with usb hub)

ide zipdrive
scsi zipdrive
usb zipdrive


mpc4k has two ide connections (2x ide hd OR 1 ide hd and 1 ide cdrom OR 1 ide hd and 1 ide zipdrive)



.. you can install a 1.44" floppy drive via usb also for importing older mpc or emu disks (I think ). Can someone confirm this?
