I want to automate the cut off filter during a sequence on one sample. How do I go about that?

jimisteele wrote:yes you can realtime control volume in the mixer screen even record that into the sequencer and yes you can make the filter go up and down but it doesnt do any good on a long sample if you notice there is NO effect til the sample comes back around. im talking about one pad, one sample 10 seconds long if you try to fade in volume or filter it Doesnt fade it plays out the whole sample at freq 100 you turn the dial as its playing to 0 and when it starts over it plays the whole thing at 0. where is 99-1 its not playing those frequencies because you cant control it realtime.

Thats what I'd do... Folks seemed shocked when I made a post about it (some years ago). It only controls attack and decay (no sustain or release), but with a few chops and a lil work it did fine by me for years (until I got the MS recently).
Keyword: Filter Envelope. I does exist on the MPC, its just a little limited.
