Any suggestions?

Listen to a current hit, sample the drums, eq them a little different, make a bog standard pattern, nothing interesting or new, you'll only alienate some listeners. Then add a bit of bass, again, keep it simple, no more than 4 notes so it'll be catchy to the lowest common denominator, add some sampled horns, maybe a pitched up vocal, then get a mediocre rapper with a big marketing budget, and some RnB singing chick who loves vibrato and over the top modulations, compress the whole thing like you're stomping a cockroach, and pay some Radio DJ's to play it 3 times an hour.

the millions are in the mail.

put a blindfold on, load up a saw wave, and hit random notes and pull out those 808s and korg triton dance drums.

(extended marketing plan- )
-and then come up with some *ridiculous* idea of copying an already existing and sucessful product [WHHATT!!](i.e. Red Bull)
but pretend to improve it by giving it an even more *ridiculous* name (i.e. 'Crunk' Juice     ),[WHATT!!!]
based on an entirely *ridiculous* sub-genre (i.e. 'Crunk')[WWHHAAT!],
which was completely fabricated by you (i.e. Lil Jon)[WHAHHATT!!]
so you could be accepted into a part of the hip-hop community and even be the *ridiculous* king of it [WHHHATTT!!]

*ridiculous* Lil Jon *ridiculous*
Hmm...... *ridiculous*

(incase you didnt get it.... lil jon = *ridiculous**ridiculous**ridiculous**ridiculous**ridiculous**ridiculous*)

'WHAT!!!' .....a f**king joke.

well this isn't how to make a hit, but if you wanna get signed. Told by the man Eminem himself.

"get the whitest a&r you can find, pull him aside, and rap as whack as you can"

just imagine his voice saying it. 8)

oh yeah...here's another one.

Don't be yourself. Be fake. Make up some story that sounds like it could be, should be, and will no doubt be made into a movie.

i'm sorry. I can't contain myself.

Call yourself a rapper, but don't rap. Just sing on your records.
