ZIP protection

i recently bought a zip100 drive including 10 disks from ebay. all the disk were mac formatted, which is no prob. but 6 of them have password protection which the mpc cant break.

i connected the zip to the pc and installed iomega ware. Although there is a "password forgotten" option, the pc hangs itself up as soon as i click format.

does anyone have experienced similar behavior?
how can i break the damn mac password protection? do i need a mac?

try to download some iomega software, wehere you can manage the zips, I'm not sure this will works but check it out

as i said, i installed iomega ware but it doesn't work. the computer hangs itself up every time i try to format or access these mac disks

Have you considered the fact that maybe the disks are both password protected and have gone bad? Could be possible, I figure. How old are the disks?
