Using the 8 outs on an MPC 3000 with ProTools

Whus up y'all.... Can someone give me some info on using the MPC's 8 outs with a Digi002 and ProTools ? Right now, when I track my beats, I track 'em in one at a time. A friend of mine told me that I could just use the 8 outs on the MPC and track all of them in at once. I'd like to do this, but don't quite know how.

how are you hooked up?

Do the outs of your MPC go to your Desk? Or to a patch bay?

Or are they currently just Idle?

Me,My 60 outs are hooked up to inputs 9 thru 16 on my mixer....
But the Mixer is set up so 4 analog omni outs go direct to the 001's inputs 3-6. recording 4 at a time.....
Also, if i want to record digitally from my mixer...I'll just do 2 tracks at a time via coaxial spdif to the 001....Making sure i pan hard left & hard right on the outs being sent from the mixer!

i have a 3000 and protools i do this every day. just run a snake cable from the back of the mpc to the 002. assign the outs in the mpc(in the mixer settings) and the ins in protools. real simple. 8 mono tracks or four stereo tracks. track by track would put you on mbox level.

Nah, El was right in tellin me to RTFM!!!!! I figured it out in less time than it took to post my question. I run my 3000 through a JoeMeek VC3Q (pre amp, compressor and eq) using outs 1 and 2. I come out of the JoeMeek on two mono channels, then straight into inputs 5 and 6 on my Digi002, and BAM.. thick-n-crispy drums. I plan on droppin some bread on an Avalon Sp-737 next month, those things are the shyt, but the JoeMeek works great for now. Thanks for gettin back.

You damned right it's helpin!!!!! Don't take it personal, like I did in the beginning, when El says "RTFM", he's only tryin to help you learn to use ya brain. This ain't rocket science.. and I know, cuz one of my homies Pops is a rocket scientist... no b/s
