Good (if not very exciting) news.

Not really, what with all the timestretch & zoning talk theres been.. Pretty darn unimpressive IMHO..

Im dubious to the zoning & timestretch upgrade and not holding my breath.. The way some peeps talk as if the things useless without these functions.. Just work round it and expoit that biatch to its extreme rather than p!**ing on bout a lack of features..

Ma duo petit pois....

LOL Now seen the poll, i thought this when i first saw it... What a wind up merchant    WE NEED REVENGE DOODS Funny though, cos i know how excited some peeps get when they hear bout os upgrades..

I hope you weren't on my post....I was serious.....midi sync is crucial for my setup.

At least we know they're adding features and not just fixing bugs. What's mono sample on/off?

all these minor fixes/updates are represented with .0x (1.05, 1.06, 1.07) i think when they finally add the TS and Zone, they will come out with OS 1.10 or even 2.0

so, aside from the MPC60 akai (2.11 and of course Lynn's own 3.xx) has never carried an OS past 1.XX. i was more commenting on the fact that while i love the MPC line, all of them, i'd be surprised if the MPC1k's OS ever goes to a 2.xx release. obviously one can only optimistically hope for such support of a machine but i'd be surprised. it seems more likely that they'll 'maybe' implement some new features and iron out the bugs and that'll be it for the MPC1k. from a business stand point i think akai would be more tempted to create an MPC1kxl and/or a newer model before we'll see a 2.xx release. again, maybe Akai will and thats what we can only hope for but when i see people dissapointed i wonder if they actually think akai is going to give them i the lustful features they desire. i mean aside from fixing bugs and ironing out the OS, there not obligated to incorporate any new features.

anyway, ya'll already know all this. here's to hoping Akai will really come through for the 1k users!

has anyone ever looked at the file size for the 2000xl's os, i think its smaller than the 1000's os file size. I find this weird because the 2000xl has so many more features like time stretch etc.. yet the 1000s os is a larger size. After look at this im starting to thinktime strecth and all that stuff can be added.

take a look at akai site listing the os for each machine, comments??
