BUYING ZIP DISKS FOR MPC2KXL?

When you guys buy 100MB and 250MB zip disks, which brand do you use? Which format do you purchase? PC? MAC? or blank?

Doesn't matter if all you ever do is use it in your MPC as you can reformat it no matter what format it's in originally. If you want to use it in a PC, you should get the PC version.

Any particular brand you recommend? Lastly, do you offer Zip disks for your sample packs?

Iomega has always worked for me - I bought a Fuji three-pack once, but two of them were faulty so I stick with Iomega.

No zips for the site samples, as that would at least double the price of each pack, plus there's the postage/packing charges - I wanted to keep things as cheap as possible for everyone, so downloads seemed to be the way forward.

Are the downloads (flat rated) with no additional cost except the download price next to the samples? Lastly, I am going to buy Mutha Drums, how large is that file?

hmm... i bought 5 iomega zips on ebay... during the 3 month period.. they all became unreadble to the mpc and pc... i would disk errors.... i thought it was my zip drive... but i replaced that... and the real problem are those iomega zips...

so now... iam just waitin' for my fuji zips to come in the mail... i haven't made a beat for three days...

Yes, that's the only price you pay. Mutha Drums is around 3.5MB (winzipped) - expands to about 5MB.

I bought 5 iomega zip disks from best buy about a year and a half ago and I haven't had a single problem with them. I recommend taking care of them by putting the zips in the plastic case when your done and not dropping or tossing them or putting them near magnets like speakers, monitors or turntables.

XKWEST, what type of problems did you have with your disk(s)? Who did you order the disks from, was it a store or a person?
