What was the first and the most influencing record that anyone here has found? Or what song from that lovely find made you respect your love for music even more?

This wasn't the first or last record to influence me, but a big one was the first Curtis Mayfield record I ever got. I'd never be the same. He's one of my all time favorite artists.

One of if not the illest cover. And I'm a huge fan. I think i have every album at least 3 times. Tarkus, Works 1-2, ect. Great stuff, and Keith Emerson is a monster on the old Moog Modular Synths! :wink:

For me it's got to be Mr. Gaye's "Got to give it up".
I can just imagine recording that track, playing it back in the studio with a hidden mic and recording people in the studio jamming out partying and getting coked out to it. I just love that song!

Yep have to agree.. But in a groundbreaking, electronic stylee would have to be Planet Rock when i was bout 10 yrs old & close 2nd Grandmaster Flash - Scorpio...
