I have finally been able to sync up my MPC 1000 and Cubase together (thanks to the helpful search button), but one thing which I was not able to find through search is how to record multiple tracks. To rephrase for a bit, I have a tascam US-122 which only has 1 steroe input for 1/4 cables, (one input for each channel though) What I wanted to do was hard pan one track to the left and one to the right so I could at least record 2 tracks at a time, I have been only able to record stereo one track at a time. Is it possible for me to split my one input like that, or do i have to have something with like 2 mono inputs (unbalanced or whatever?) in order to do to tracks simultaneously? This MIDI business can get a bit confusing. Thanks for the help!

That is exactly what you currently have. Stereo is simply two mono channels (inputs). You are going to have to record to your PC two tracks at a time. If you want more than two tracks at a time you will need an audio interface with more than two inputs.

Yes, that I know, but I can't figure out how to make cubase track out both channels seperately. It always winds up recording both channels on the same track

1st turn the stereo track into a mono track by clicking the little circles in the mixer bar of the track. Then you can choose between "In 1" and "In 2" instead of it saying "In 1 + 2".
