Drumatic...where is that song with the "ughhh" voice in it and the piano playin in the back from. Not the sample but the actual song I was hearing from you. I've heard that somewhere and can't recall...but it was on some release somewhere..

Real nice man.

Did you sample with your MPC 60 or S950? Is there a difference in sound between these two samplers?

Something Like That:

You referring to Pete Rock's Vocal that I sampled from Fakin' Jax? If not i'm unsure......sorry!

!Mack: I use both samplers to formulate beats. I normally will use my mpc-60 for drums and my S950 for loops and chops. I also use the S950 internal TONE engine when sequencing basslines with the MPC-60 if needed cus it's got this buzzy filter. Listen to DWYCK by Gangstarr and take note....or listen to any early material by 45King. Anyhow. There is a major difference between the two samplers. I won't get into all the details but yeah the reason I use one unit for one set of samples and another unit for a second set of samples is to open up the frequency ranges of the music and drums so that the beats don't sound like they were created from the same source. Think of it as in painting with a pallette of colors. If you have the possibility to sample in different frequency ranges it's like having many colors - if not it's like painting in black and white or monochromatic. I hope you understand what I mean.....I just woke up and am seeing doubles.....hehehe

Aempee: I don't use the SP-12 turbo anymore but I do still make beats on the SP-1200 over at my man Llingo Apts crib. He's got the Sp-1200 and the Emax 1 rack. Which in my opinion is a very rugged set up!

I'll catch you all later.....
