Erasing entire program(and sounds) easily?

instead of deleting the pgm file, and then all the osunds individually.....is there a way to have the 2000xl erase the entire program at once(with sounds)?

How I would do it:

If u wanna blank out ALL sounds then...In trim, highlight sample name....open window....delete...Delete all

If you jus wanna rid of that '1' program and its sounds...Delete program then purge

Why don't you just turn the machine off and turn it back on again?

You can also do a purge after you deleted your program that will delete any unassociated sound from memory.

That can cause problems. I've heard of people blowing fuses and such from turning the machine off and right back on too many times.

on the 2000 i usually go into TRIM mode, highlight the name of the sound. press open window. DELETE, then delete all

Yeah I was f***n around, RTFM ya know!!! As far as fuses maybe the SCSI fuse could blow. I can turn any machine I got on and off pretty quick with no problems.

Yeah, I've shut it off and back on many times before with no problems, but it's not suggested I guess. and yeah I hear it can blow the scsi fuse.

I think if you turn it off, and then wait a good 5 seconds before you turn it back on, you'll be OK.

You coulda jus done what I said in that time and be on your way to loading up some new sounds/programs

Delete program, then purge sounds.... That will get rid of all the sounds that are not assocated with a program.

I cant belive ur turing ur MPC off and on like its a light switch... for god sakes take care of ur shit.

My mpc was on, I was going to turn it off, I pushed the button IN,
I realized I forgot to save a certain sound, I let go of the button and pushed it back IN REAL quick like and my mpc stayed on, I saved my sound and did what I had to do. No blown fuse. I don't do that on purpose or often, I'm just posting that I'm the man and I can do that.
