NEED ANSWERED ASAP.. THANKS

I have an artist i met coming over today to reference some original material that i wrote. I quickly need to get these songs copy written and at the same time i figure i might as well copyright all the track that i want to start letitng people hear..Can i out these songs in MP3 format is my firat question..Second question is some of these tracks i produce have the lyrics to go along with them as well..How do i go about sending these along side the tracks..If she comes over Tuesday and i mail it out Monday am I safe or do i have to wait til i recieve mail from the copyright office.im using the PA form am i correct...Thanks and i apologize if this has been aswered previoulsy.

That subject has always been tricky U don't wanna get robbed but U want ur ish heard. If dude is real dope then let him hear ur ish and hope he ain't no thief. I used to worry alot now I Just say Phuc it I got amillion beats in my head, most don't cats don't agree with me, but if u make alot of beats u will be copyrightin for days and nobody will hear anything. Save that real Dope Ish until u got all ur paper work straight. Maybe u could be cleanin ur Gats when he comes over LOL!!!!

lol...yeah i never really worry abou hip hop beats .. This one here is a more soultry pop record with a catchy appeal..i can make hip hop beats in my sleep..Its songs like this one i feel will get me that house..You know ur "ace in the hole" beat.. lol ..i have to protect this baby..

Ok Im mailing my package out today and on my CD i have tracks that have partial lyrics (one verse and a hook).. Is ok to send this off too..I feel as if only part of the song is protected. Should this be a concern.

PA protects lyrics.

SR protects sound recordings, hence the name.

You will need TWO forms filled out, if you send the material prior to the artist coming over then you are okay, you are in "pending copyright" status and you will be fine.
