Kurzweil k2000 to MPC 2000xl via midi

i've hooked up the cables and mucked around as much as i can on both machines changing midi settings etc. i just cant get it to work? i want the mpc to record the notes into the sequencer.

Ive been trying to figure this out too. I have an MPC1000, and a Roland Juno-D. The most i figured out was how to put the keyboard sounds on to the pads. you have to set the drums to midi and then set the midi to 1A.
