Damn...reading these forums and other 'production' or 'hip hop' forums, I've gotten to feel like you gotta roll with the pack and jock for people to relate. What gives people??

This is supposed to be hip hop sh**, music from the soul not politics. Can't constructively criticize sh** without somebody callin you a 'hater' or tryin to pull your card. Lame. Straight up nuff respect to cats that have found their niche and made success for themselves, but I know a lot of unknown or semi-unknown producers that are waaaaaaaaaaay nicer than the same old names I see on threads. I'd point out the names of the produers I always hear about, but someone will come along and call me a hater so what's the point. I was plannin on expandin out to various genres of music already, but there really couldn't be a better time to get the f*** away from the sea of d*** riders.

^Couldn't have said it better.People are so caught up in someone else they start biting.But then when someone says that person is wack or they don't like them all hell breaks loose.You hear people talk about how pure the art is and all that but as soon as a big name bites,it's o.k but they rant to people here that Hip Hop is an art form.Makes me sick to my stomache sometime,i think i'm gonna start makin House or somethin.

Am I'm missing something? I don't see anybody getting jocked but peeps keep making posts about stuff like this with more and more reasons to not say names.

I peep er'body's ish in Your Music and NO ONE is hitting 100% with the feedback. Some of those cats with 1000 posts get str8 flops from time to time.

I guess there are some cliques but i unno. Unless they set it on me I don't give a fuk. When a dude see that all the good comments come from his buddy list, he knows that he has to come with something better. That's what I think.

REspectively Hip Hop is an art.Music is art,Graffiti is art,the clothing and everything else associated with Hip Hop is art.But i'm aware it is a way of life.I just don't think it's an atypical way of life,like it used to be.

People on this site have a very narrow perspective on what hip hop is suppose to sound like. Most cats on this site are from the east coast sampleing school of things.

This is fine, but people need to realise that there is more then one form of hip hop out their. Thats why i dont even bother to post in the showcase anymore..

Again i aint tryin to start beef or nothing but cats need to open their eyes.
I think the reason why they hate so much is becasue they have a very narrow viewpoint of what hip hop is suppose to sound like. everything has to be from the purist standpoint.

LOL and the folks who think like that usually have wack beats,(90%)

Final thought, i wouldent worry about it to much casue there are only a handful of people on this site (or anywhere else) who really have talent & orginaltitiy.

Most are tryin to jock other producers and sound like them....

yea me too cause now all im hearin is they this and they that. and honestly, i dont see a problem here. its actually gotten better (imo) especially the your music forum. but shi*, if something sucks in YOUR MUSIC oh well. lend a tip, helpful criticism something. help them do better next time. dont talk down about them. every single one of us has been at that point when we first started....

man i aint got nuttin against any of yall. but i would hope if anyone had anything against me they would let me know. a majority of us here are men so lets act like it
