HIT MODE THEN PAD 6 AND ANOTHER SCREEN WILL POP UP AND HIT I THINK F2 AND ADJUST THE START AND END POINTS AND PLEASE POST THIS QUESTION IN THE NEWBIE FORUM OR READ THE BOOK

the f2 button is just that, a button on the MPC1000 labeled as f2.....its below the screen incase you can't find it.

i always just look at the screen and click accordingly, now that i think of it, those buttons right under the screen, i've never really associated wit those names cause they always just refer to some sort of option. eh my dumb ass question for the month

to loop it just set the bars accordingly to the length of the drum loop in the bar field on the main screen. then turn loop on (its right above the bar field) then hold rec and push play start. after the forth tick hit the pad with drum loop. now set the bpm so that it loops right. This is probley the easiest way to start a beat cause it just gets you groving
